Assign static ip to VPS ?

Hi,

I have a new VPS. I am not sure if the IP address assigned to my account by default is a dedicated static ip, or a shared address. If it is shared, how to get the dedicated static ip?

Hello tadler, Thank you for your question. Most VPS's include some dedicated IP addresses, you must request the IP address from AMP. Here is a link to our article on requesting an IP address, there is a section on "Obtaining a dedicated IP that is included for free." The request from AMP creates a ticket for our Systems team to assing the IP address, and they will email you upon resolution. If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
