new user waiting on domain transfer but want to use ftp to upload files .. what is IP address of my site

Just to clarify, we normally use domain transfers to refer to transferring the domain registration (and only the domain registration). Website Transfer refers to actually moving the site files/the site itself. I just wanted to make sure that you requested the one you needed in this situation.

On that note, if you requested a Website Transfer, I would be careful uploading files to the account. If you are moving from one cPanel account at your previous host to an account here, the transfer team will likely transfer the cPanel in its entirety. If you're just moving files around, the transfer team may pause their work if there are already files in the site directory. 

With that out of the way, the easiest way to find your IP address is to log in to cPanel and check your IP address there! It's worth mentioning that you can also FTP into the server using the server name, which you can also find in cPanel.
