I have several versions of moodle installed. Unfortunately the one that activates when just the web site name is used is not the version I want but i don't want to get rid of the legacy sites. What file does the server look at to determine what to open

While we can only support Moodle in terms of installing the software with Softaculous

I do have a couple of recommendations. 

First, check the core configuration files like version.php and configuration.php.

Further, it's possible to install WordPress to multiple directories, so make sure that is not the case. If it is, you can change what directory your domain points to in addon domains (if it is an addon) or by switching the contents of public_html.
