New Site

Through inMotion I have the domain www.jasonberry.com with subdomains under that. I would like to change www.jasonberry.com to be a WordPress theme site. I have downloaded the theme I would like to use. What must I do next? I assume I need to upload the folder via FTP to my public_html folder but I tried that and it did not seem to work. I do not want to disturb my other subdomains so any help would be appreciated.

Hello Jasonb5, I'm not sure what you exactly mean by saying "wordpress theme site". Are you trying to USE wordpress? If so, you need to first load it onto your domain. As long as you do not delete the subfolders for your add-on domains, then the operation of these add-on domains will not be disrupted. You should clear out all the files/folders in your public_html that NOT setup for your add-on domains and then you can install Wordpress using Softaculous. I'll leave you a link for the setup. Once Wordpress installed, then you can load up Wordpress themes DIRECTLY in the Wordpress interface. Here's the article for loading up Wordpress: How to use Softaculous to install programs Unfortunately, the current Inmotion article for installing Wordpress is still set to use the old install program (Fantastico), but you can use the article above to help you get it installed. If you have any further questions, please contact technical support or leave a comment at the bottom of the page. Regards, Arnel C.
