How would you rate the customer service you received?

So copying the site can not be done through the C-Panel by Web Hosting Hub for us, which was my original question?  Also, I was told by a Web Hosting Hub account staff that they are working on providing an automatic backup option for an additional charge.  Would this option be needed if Backup Buddy is being used? (Backup Buddy is a bit pricey for a non-profit).Just FYI, I have a personal account with Bluehost, which does provide support like help with copying a site to a sub-domain and they also include backups in all their plans.

Thanks for the additional information needed to give you better info. All advice you've been given to this point still applies as possibilities. If you'd like to use cPanel File Manager or FTP to achieve this, you can copy a directory to a new location.

If it's WordPress, you'll need to change the URL within the wp-config.php file and database to match that new subdomain URL. If you'd like to request support for this, you should email Web Hosting Hub Live Support with verification.

You can always create manual cPanel backups.

Please note, we're not live support and unable to modify accounts on behalf of Web Hosting Hub.

Hello Ginny,

Thank you for contacting us about duplicating your website for testing and development. There are several options. As PortoCloud recommends, if you are using WordPress you can use a plugin such as backup buddy or BoldGrid Backup to make a copy of your site. Other CMSs, such as Drupal or Joomla have addons or extensions for accomplishing this.

If your site is in Softaculous, you can use Softaculous Staging to quickly create a test site. Then, replace your site when you are finished.

Thank you,

John-Paul

If you are using wordpress, use Backup Buddy, it is the easiest way to move a website from one domain to another.

first go into your Cpanel to the database wizard and create a database / user, as you will need that when you move the site to the newer domain.

It's a very simple process, but you can always ask further and I will help you if you need it.
