I'm sorry that this is happening. The big difference here is how Joomla defines the elements on the page. What's happening is that when you direct it to the other URL - which is valid, Joomla's internal workings do not recognize the path for the logo when running the site on that path.

And, since you did not purchase an SSL, you can't use your normal domain name for the HTTPS path - which can be defined in Joomla. There may be a solution to this in Joomla, but this will require manual adjustment of configuration for which I am not aware. The best way to handle it is to purchase an SSL certificate so that you can use your domain name normally.
