Made changes to twenty-eleven theme but never made child theme

Hello,
I have made multiple changes to my Twenty-Eleven theme, but cannot remember them all. I just read what a child theme is and why it should be done prior to any changes in case of upgrades. What should I do now? Do I create a child theme now that I've already made changes?

Thanks,

Hello Andreaz, I hate to say it, but if you want to use their system of child themes, then it would be best to re-create those changes after re-loading the theme. That way, you have the base theme, and the next time it is updated (which can happen a lot as per the history of Wordpress updates), your changes won't get wiped out. Actually, your idea of creating the child theme at this point is not a bad idea, but again, I would suggest backing up everything before proceeding in order to have a return point should things go wrong. Here's a great article on creating child themes: Child Themes in Wordpress Note that if you have only made changes in the Styles.css file, then it should be a pretty simple matter for you to go BACK to the original and then quickly re-create the child theme. Child themes primarily only need the styles.css file. You can copy that file out and re-load the original theme in order to get it back. I hope this helps to answer your question. If you have any further questions, please contact technical support or leave a comment at the bottom of the page. Regards, Arnel C.
