Trying to upload changes to my website with FTP. Getting an error stating that my username or password is incorrect. I logged into AMP and updated my password and when I test it, it says it connects but still get the error message. Help.

Hello [email protected], I did a check on your FTP logs and the error is definitely a password error. Here is a link to resetting the password for the username you were using. If you choose to use a different FTP account, you can change that password here: Resetting your FTP Password via cPanel. I created a test account and was able to log in without issue. After resetting your password, (only if using the cPanel username) first test it by logging into the cpanel with it. If that is successful, your FTP should be also. Make sure you are logging into port 21 and not using SFTP as it will not work on that port. If you are still having issues, you will want to submit all the credentials you are using (hostname, username, password, port) to [email protected] so we can test to duplicate and fix the issue. As we do not actively monitor that email address, be sure to leave a comment below so we know the information is there. I hope this answers your question and fixes the issue for you. If you have any more questions or comments on the issue, please leave a comment below and we will be happy to assist you further. Thanks! - Scott M
