Hi deltaalpha,

Technically speaking, there are no specific .html files needed in order for your website to run. GoDaddy may have a specific .html file they put in all accounts for some specific reason, but I'm not really familiar with their operations too much. We do require that your files go inside your public_html folder, but besides this, there are no other requirements.

I'm not 100% of the scope of your question, but I also wanted to point out that your account will include other files and folders. For example, there is a folder in your account called mail. This is where all of your account's email will be stored. You should not delete this folder or any of the other files located outside of your public_html folder.

Is there a specific reason that you ask? For example, is your site not coming up at all or not showing correctly? If you need any further help, feel free to post a comment at the bottom of the page with further details, and we'll be more than happy to assist further.

Thanks!
