Is it possible at inmotion hosting to run a cronjob who compresses files and send them as an attachment to a extern emailaddress?

Hi Marcel,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm more than happy to assist you today. Cronjobs are just task schedulers, so any cronjob could technically run. However, the issue would exist with the actual script that is compressing the files and emailing them. It really depends on how many files you are compressing, the size of the compressed files, how often you run the cronjob, and how resource intensive the script is on the server.

While there's nothing specifically limiting a script like this from running, there could be specific issues mentioned above.

I hope this helps! If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!
