Addon domain is redirecting to a specific file

Hello, my addon domain of normalfolk.ca became broken after attempting to use simplescripts to save time while setting up a test social site.

now any use of the domain redirects to root/install.php

i've checked all the .htaccess files and can not find the culprit, I am now thinking it is an apache issue?

**EDIT**

here is the .htaccess from the public root

# To set your custom php.ini, add the following line to this file:
# /home/yourusername/path/to/php.ini

# BEGIN WordPress

# END WordPress

hi ngbutler,

Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you with it today. I suspected it was a re-direct written in the .htaccess file in the add-on domains root folder. I renamed the .htaccess file to .htaccess.old and reloaded your website without error. I have renamed it back correctly, so when you visit the site it will still appear to not load correctly.

I would review the .htaccess rules you have to find the specific culprit.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thanks!

Hi ngbutler,

When I visit your index.php file, the redirect loop does not happen:
http://normalfolk.ca/index.php

I also tested index.html and index.htm, but those pages don't seem to exist.

What I'm thinking is that there is a bad redirect setup in your .htaccess file. Can you update your question or post in the comments the code that is in your public_html/.htaccess file?

Thanks,
- Brad
