I actually wrote the article on what's wrong with forwarders these days. The short version is that a handful of large, influential companies are gradually trying to phase forwarders out (for admittedly good reasons). 

If you want to keep using your forwarder, try to whitelist the sending domain at the receiving address and make sure the SPF, DMARC, and other settings of the sending address are accurate. That may work in the short term, but long term (5 years or more) I would start looking for another method of mail management.
