The issue is that the old backup system was not living up to our expectations and we needed to replace it with a better system. The downside is, that Backup Manager is much more resource intensive and, since it includes external data storage, was not going to be something we could provide for free like the old system.
We had hoped that the trial period would give everyone the chance to see how they liked the system and opt out of Backup Manager if they were unsatisfied. That said, if you are having trouble opting out or need assistance with it, please get in touch with our 24/7 Customer Service team and they can assist you with the rest of the process!
We understand your frustration. We sent emails before and during its integration about the change, updates to our Terms of Service, and how to opt out. We tried to notify all customers about this change throughout the transition.
