Email account transfer

I have two inMotion accounts and I want to transfer the contents and settings of emails from a domain registered in one account to the other account. Domain management is no problem as this is done outside of inMotion.

Is this possible?

If yes, how should I proceed?

Hello! As long as the domain will stay the same from the first account to the second account, this is pretty easy to do. Still, be sure to make backups of both cPanels first, just in case.

First create the domain and equivalent email addresses in the destination cPanel. Then, you can simply move the files located in the mail directory of the cPanel (~/mail/yourdomain) and in the etc directory (~/etc/yourdomain), replacing "yourdomain" with the actual domain you are moving of course. Using an FTP client like FileZilla will probably be the easiest way to do this. Hope that helps!
