Why am I getting this SSL notice

We have the Free SSL certificate on a WP-1000S plan. But we received this message:

AutoSSL did not renew the certificate for “****topmedia.com”. You must take action to keep this site secure.

The “cPanel” AutoSSL provider could not renew the SSL certificate without a reduction of coverage because of the following problems:

****topmedia.com
(checked on May 31, 2022 at 5:39:52 AM UTC)
DNS DCV: No local authority: “****topmedia.com”; HTTP DCV: The system queried for a temporary file at “http://****topmedia.com/.well-known/pki-validation/0F1431D45F6CFB19D14DBBA79E44F90F.txt”, but the web server responded with the following error: 404 (Not Found). A DNS (Domain Name System) or web server misconfiguration may exist. The domain “****topmedia.com” resolved to an IP address “168.235.116.114” that does not exist on this server.

Along with a list of other "No local authority" sections listed.

Why are we getting these?

Is there anything that we need to do?

Will they resolve themselves?

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us about a "No local authority" SSL notice. I have seen this message before when trying to issue an SSL for a domain that does not have DNS hosted on the server or has redirects setup, but this doesn't seem to be the case in this instance. I looked at the SSL for your URL and it is still valid and current:

Issued On Monday, May 23, 2022 at 8:00:00 PM

Expires On Monday, August 22, 2022 at 7:59:59 PM

It is not set to expire until August, at which point AutoSSL will renew the SSL automatically. This may be a false SSL renewal message since it does not seem like it needs to be renewed at this time, but if you suspect any further issues it may be better to contact our Live Support team. This will allow them to check your specific account in a secure, private setting and make any changes if necessary.

Thank you,

John-Paul
