Interfacing Okta with Java Spring and Inmotionhosting VPS

Okta is an identity provider, and offers OAuth2 as one of the protocols it supports.  OAuth2 is a popular option for providing secure login username/password services for websites, particularly with Java Spring, a well-known framework.  Okta provides a large number of IP addresses for its authentication servers, too many for the basic firewall (APF) provided with Inmotionhosting's firewall to accommodate.  A solution the Inmotionhosting Managed Hosting support engineer and I are currently investigating is the use of an alternative firewall, ConfigServer firewall.  You need a free Developer account to use Okta's services, and there is a limit of 50 users with this free account.  Also, this limit is fixed, and you can not re-use any of the 50 usernames by deactivating a user (to attempt to regain the 'slot') and then to designate a different user in place of the deactivated the user.

Here is more information for ConfigServer firewall:

Hello Marshall! I'm sorry that you're having difficulty setting up your Okta authentication, but I cannot tell exactly what your question is. By your description, it sounds like you are already working with one of our specialists. Is there something you wanted to know specifically about using Okta on our servers, or was this written in reply to an aspect of this discussed elsewhere?
