Hello Everyone - I'm using NextGEN Gallery to manage the media on the website I recently designed. Can I schedule videos to post at a specific time using NextGEN Gallery, or is there another plugin I might consider? The URL is clmwv.org if anyone needs to see the page. The video player is near the bottom of the homepage.

Hi, Steve! While we can't provide detailed instructions on third party plugins, have you tried scheduling your post? If you change your posts from publish immediately to being scheduled, they should post at whatever time you choose. Try it out and let us know how it goes!

Hi Steve! Based on your description of the plugin, it does not sound like the method I described will work. Apologies, plugins can vary quite a bit and what works for one may not work for the other. I would suggest that you reach out directly to the developers of the NextGEN Gallery, as they may already have a solution to this.

That said, one more thing to try is to schedule the premiere of the video on YouTube at a later date, but add the URL to the gallery plugin before it premieres. Depending on the plugin, it may automatically show the video once it is publicly visible. I would test that out on a practice/staging site first, or at least with a low stakes/nonessential video. Hope it works, and if not I hope the plugin developers are able to assist!

Thanks again. At least it seems I am not losing my fuzzy, little brain. I will reach out to NextGEN for additional support.

Thank you for the suggestion. Unless I am misunderstanding, this option is for publishing text based blog posts - and does not include a video option. The video player is embedded into the homepage and I'm not readily seeing a way to incorporate a scheduled post therein. I hope this makes a modicum of sense. I'm still VERY new to this and may not fully understand the proper terminology.
