Hostgator favicon Keeps showing up
The hostgator favicon shows on my wordpress site from time to time. I have not used hostgator in years and it is not a part of my site files. Are you guys associated with hostgator? I am completely baffled as to why this happens.
Often, an older icon for a site is saved somewhere in the site's files. With WordPress, you can change this icon. We have a full guide on how to update your site icon, sometimes called a "favicon."
