what's the difference between your host name NS1 and ns 2? Do I need both or can I can I choose either one?

Hello, Gerard! Most registrars require you to input at least two nameservers for a domain. That way, there is a backup in case something goes wrong. You should usually use both.

Both nameservers work the same way, but they have different IP addresses and are on different coasts of the US. That way, even under extreme circumstances there will always be one available! Hope that explanation helps.
