Remote email hosting

Hi,

manchesterpl.org currently uses Office 365 hosting through a third party for email. Can you ensure that we are configured for remote email hosting and provide the relevant SPF record elements to be added to the existing record so that WordPress can send mail?

Hello Yolo12345,

Thanks for the question about using remote mail hosting for your domain.  Keep in mind that in order to make any changes regarding the domain's mail service, then your domain name would need to be pointed our hosting service.  In other words, we would need to be the authoritative DNS server.  If we are not the authoritative DNS server, then the settings we apply in cPanel (remote email hosting or DKIM/SPF records) would not work.

When I look at manchesterpl.org, the nameservers are pointed to:

PDNS11.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
PDNS12.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

And the domain is registered through GoDaddy.

You will need work with GoDaddy to properly set both the Remote Mail settings and the SPF/DKIM records.

If you plan to have the domain pointed to InMotion Hosting then you can use the cPanel to set the MX Records (mail server) to remote. The SPF and DKIM records can be set in the cPanel by going to the email section and clicking on Email Deliverability (if domain is pointed to InMotion).

If you need assistance with this, then you can also contact our live technical support team.  They will be able to directly assist you with the changes if needed.

I hope this helps to answer your questions. If you need further assistance, please let us know!

Kindest regards,
Arnel C.
