Which product should I install into my account?

At the moment, I don't have a web page in my primary domain. Instead, I have two web sites in two sub domains. The problem is that these pages aren't indexed by Google – so people can't find them.

I'd like to take my Chris Boorman's Cookbooks (http://www.gullinx.com/cookbooks/index.html), and turn them into something that I can share with the technical writing community, and receive feedback from them.

Since your familiar with the various applications that I can install to my account, I'd like to ask you for your opinion on the best approach to take.

Thanks,

Chris.

Hi Christopher!

You can always take that site you have in your subdirectory and move it to to being the primary domain, though you'd have to worry about fixing any and all hard-coded links.

If you just wanted to start building up a new site and using the content to do so, I'd suggest using WordPress. It's the most popular web development platform for a reason, and you can build up anything from a simple portfolio page to a full combination blog-message board-online store.

WordPress is very easy to install-- even easier if you are on a plan with Softaculous. As an InMotion customer, you have access to the premium version of BoldGrid for free as part of your plan. Think of BoldGrid as a WordPress addon that includes various themes and plugins to add functionality to a WordPress site and make the building experience easy.

I'd suggest using Softaculous to install BoldGrid, then, after using your Connect Key to unlock the premium features, just try a few different themes and plugins. You can even install WordPress on a subdomain, so it doesn't affect that primary domain you have plans for, just to mess around with it for a bit and see if it is what you may be looking for. Hope that helps!

According to my records, I have the PowerPlan. Does that include WordPress?
