Reset User Email Password

I am setting up all the initial email accounts for my company. I see how to setup the account to require an initial password from the user. If the user forgets his password, I would like to reset this action so the user receives a new initial password email, or set the password for one-time use and require the user to reset it on next login. Please advise.

Hello CSDI_TechSupport, Thanks for the question about notifying and resetting the user password for email. Unfortunately, that kind of functionality is not part of the email clients provided with cPanel. As it is, users can log into webmail and then change their password at any point. Additionally, users can set one or two other email addresses as their notification point should they lose/forget their password. If it is not set, then the administrator of the account will be required to reset it. I hope that helps to clarify the issue. If you want to see the area in Webmail where a user can do this, please login to webmail, then click on the drop-down menu under the user name in the top right corner. Select Contact Information to change the notification email address. Click on Password and Security in oder to change the password (outsde of cPanel). If you have any further questions, please let us know. Kindest regards, Arnel C.
