Why am I getting SPAM emails?

I regularly get emails asking to assist me in getting new clients on my website. I SPAM them and the next day
I receive another with a different person's name. Does the domain privacy addition help with this?

Hello Sue, Thank you for submitting a question about spam. Domain privacy can help when you initially register a domain, but once the email is out on the web there's no way to know how many spammers have obtained it and how often they might use it.
