CPanel Auto-Update Getting Insufficient Memory Error

Hello,

We're getting notices of the following error notification:

~~~~
cPanel & WHM version change from “11.64.0.24” to “11.64.0.29” is blocked.
cPanel & WHM cannot update due to insufficient disk space in the staging directory, '/usr/local/cpanel'. The system requires 3 GB to update; this directory only has 1.94 GB available. The system failed to find a new staging directory with enough space to update. You can either clear enough disk space or select a new staging directory with enough disk space at Update Preferences interface.
~~~~

Thinking this was due to a lack of space on our main server partition, we deleted extra content such as old site backups. But we are still getting this message. It also doesn't look like we can access the /usr directory in question - perhaps it lives on a separate or hidden partition?

Please advise, thanks!
