Email Address Doesn't Work with Web Contact Form

When I use my domain's email address (e.g. [email protected]), the emails don't go through when sent through the contact form on my website. The form works with any other email address. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Hello slpjane,

Thank you for your question about your email form not sending from your email address. There could be a few reasons this may be happening. You will want to check if you are authenticating for your email address with your login information. This is especially necessary if your email is hosted separately from your website.

Next, you will want to make sure that if you have SPF records enabled, that you have the sending server, in this case the server that is hosting the contact form, added to your SPF record. Please keep in mind that these changes, as with all DNS changes, may take up to 4 - 24 hours to take effect. However, in this case it doesn't sound like you have a SPF related issue, but it's still worth checking to be sure.

Gratefully,
Casey B.
