I get the following error when I click on "Add IP to Firewall" under Plugins in WHM

Internal Server Error
500
No response from subprocess (/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/addon_add2apf.cgi): The subprocess reported error number 2 when it ended.

WHM, Add IP to Firewall, Internal server error 500
Hello,
I have exactly the same problem as explained here:

https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/community-support/whm/whm-add-ip-to-firewall-failing-with-internal-server-error

Meaning, in WHM, when I go to "Add IP to firewall" I get:

Internal Server Error
500
No response from subprocess (/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/addon_add2apf.cgi): The subprocess reported error number 2 when it ended.

Thank you in advance for your help.

WHM "Add IP to Firewall" failing with Internal Server Error
Adding my IP address to the firewall in WHM is suddenly failing with the following diagnostic:

Internal Server Error
500
No response from subprocess (/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/addon_add2apf.cgi): The subprocess reported error number 2 when it ended.

This is the first time I've accessed WHM since the notice about new support for SPF and DKIM, which I declined. Is it necessary to accept them, or has some other change been made to WHM that now causes "Add IP to Firewall" to fail?

Hello Darijan,

Sorry to hear you are having issues with adding your IP to the Firewall in WHM. This is not normal behavior for the WHM. You will want to contact the Live Support so they can look at your specific account to see what the issue may be.

Kindest Regards,

Hello nick_nystrom,

Thank you for your question about WHM and adding the IP to the firewall. You shouldn't have to accept them. It sounds like something else might be going on. I'd suggest reaching out to the Support department for their assistance. Let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!

Gratefully,

Hello, Apologies for the issue with the 500 error when adding an IP to firewall. Unfortunately, I have no way to correct that issue in the Support Center. You will need to submit a verified support ticket to have the issue reviewed so that support or one of the senior tech support teams can resolve the problem for you. Make sure that you provide verification for the account (or submit the ticket through AMP). Apologies again that we can't provide a solution for that issue through the support center. If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know. Regards, Arnel C.
