I cannot upload pictures into the posts or pages of my WordPress web

I recently changed from another hosting to Inmotion, using a cPanel backup. My website www.roadprovides.com was not the main domain in the previous hosting, so it was hosted in public_html/roadprovides. Now it is the main domain, so the technical service changed it for me to the main folder public_html. Everything was working fine until I tried to upload pictures in the posts.

It starts uploading but soon this message appears: Unable to create directory uploads/2016/09. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

Indeed, the folder already exists in the folder public_html/wp-content/uploads/2016/09. I am afraid that wordpress is trying to look for the old folder in the subdomain public_html/roadprovides/wp-content/uploads/2016/09, which doesnt exists anymore.

Somebody knows what to do? Thanks

Hello, Apologies for the problems with uploading pictures into your WordPress site. You will need to work with our live technical support team in order to correct this issue. Ask that they check the permissions of the folder. It should be writable in order for WordPress to accept uploads. Since it appears that your site was transferred, the issue may simply be related to permissions of file ownership. We cannot change that value here in the Support Center, but the live support team can make the changes that are needed. If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know. Regards, Arnel C.
