Trash and Old File Deletion

I am sure this is a stupid question, but how do I empty the trash? I have a large website, but I have deleted a number of files and pages, but they still appear to be counted in my "disk space usage" which never appears to go down. I deleted the multiple revisions WordPress saves within my Dashboard, but, again, there's no effect on the size of the site.

It seems to me that I am not deleting files properly. Can you help?

Hello,

Thank you for your question of file deletion in WordPress. If you are talking about pages within WordPress, there is a 'Trash' link at the top of the 'Pages' list page. Clicking that will bring you to a new list. This page allows you to permanently delete them. You can even select more than one at a time, click on the "Bulk Actions" drop down list, and select "Delete Permanently".

Deleting files from the cPanel itself are automatic and permanent, so there is no trash bin folder to clear out.

Kindest Regards,
