My site isn't visible unless you include /dir after .org

This is a new site for me. I usually just install Wordpress with Softaculous and don't change very many settings, which is what I did with this one. It seems to have added /dir at the end of my domain (which I think means it installed the files somewhere unusual). I just want people to be able to go to www.childrenindisasters.org, not www.childrenindisasters.org/dir. How do I fix this?

Hello Alix4015, Sorry for the problem with the WordPress install going to a "dir" folder. There are two ways to fix this issue. The easiest one is to simply go back into Softaculous and delete your current install, then when you re-install it, make sure that the directory for the folder is blank. This will make sure that your URL is based primarily on your domain name (without the extra folder at the end). You can also use our tutorial changing the WordPress URL. However, if I recommend the first solution if you just started and the site has not been heavily modified or visited yet. I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance. Regards, Arnel C.
