Question about setting up WordPress

My two web sites are up. I have six domain names. Three point to one site and three to another. Everything I do is online when I login to my web site. I understand that WordPress is installed on your servers and that I login to use it. The Wordpress documentation talks of choosing a text editor but I can't find where to do that when I login to the web site remotely. My tab key doesn't tab into the text it tabs into another window. Can I install WordPress on my laptop (either Apple or Windows 10), use my text editor there (notepad, or whatever) to edit my web site pages, and upload them to your servers? Where are some instructions to do that? I am technically experienced in many ways but am a novice with web development / support Thank you.

Hello KRYPTON21,

Thank you for your question regarding setting up WordPress. I recommend following our walk-though guide on Adding HTML to a Wordpress Page/Post, it includes a full video as well. You could write & format your posts/pages locally using notepad, then paste the HTML into the post. If it is not working, our WordPress Troubleshooting guide can help you determine why.

You can install WordPress on your local computer, but it can be quite a task. You then must import the content.

Thank you,

John-Paul
