Hello, Thank you for contacting us about your WordPress installation. I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble with the install process. Were you using Softaculous, or were you doing a manual installation? If you were using Softaculous it is possible there was an error because of the files you already had in your main public_html directory. In this case, you may need to select the option to overwrite those files. Sometimes it is the ".htaccess" file that causes the conflict. If this was the method of installation you were using then I would try installing again into your main directory and overwriting those files. However, if you were doing the manual installation then there could be another reason for the installation failure. You said you "couldn't do this on the root directory." Were you able to get the files into that directory? You mentioned there were web builder files in there. So I assume you could not get the files there. If you have Softaculous, I suggest trying the installation again and overwriting files. If you are doing a manual installation I recommend deleting files you don't need and following the manual installation path linked to above. Best, Christopher M.
