I am trying to see how to fix my website as there is no longer any content on it. I am not sure who to contact to get the content back up on it or if any of it is saved through inmotion. I am also curious what your thoughts are as this has happened shortly after we terminated our agreement with our SEO consultant who built the site.

Hello, Thank you for your question about your site appearing blank. I was able to take a look and discover that your wp-content folder is missing. This is the folder that contains your plugin and theme files. This folder was likely quarantined after your site was hacked due to compromised files. You will need to replace your wp-content folder from a new copy of WordPress, which is 3.9. You can find a copy at the WordPress archive. Once you download that, you will want to upload that zip file to a temporary folder in your account, create one if you need to. Extract the zip file so that it places all the folders in the temporary folder. Next, copy the wp-content folder to your public_html folder. This will bring the folder and all files inside it. After that, you should see some content on your site, though it will be without plugins and with the default theme. From there, you can log back in and re-download the plugins you had on your previous site. This may be a bit tedious, but it will help you get your site back to its former version. Lastly, but most importantly, you need to upgrade your WordPress site. There have been several security updates to WordPress since your version and that is likely how it was hacked. Update to the current version, which is 4.4.2. You may also need to update themes or plugins after you update WordPress as well. This will help prevent the issue from happening again. Just comment below if you get stuck along the way, we will be happy to provide guidance. Kindest Regards, Scott M
