Email copies on POP server being deleted

Ever since Inmotion Hosting had the server issues two weeks ago, none of my emails are staying on the server. The moment they are downloaded to my MS Outlook, the emails disappear from the server. I have my email set up as a POP account, but have selected the "leave a copy of messages on the server" in the Outlook advanced settings (removing them after 30 days). For five years, I never had a problem with this, but now I can't fix it. I know switching to IMAP is an option, but I would prefer simply to fix the issue leaving the account as a POP account. Can you help?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us about an issue with MS Outlook leaving copies of messages on the server. If you are connecting from multiple devices, it is definitely recommended to use IMAP, instead of POP. I also recommend checking all of the devices to ensure it is not being downloaded elsewhere. Your mail logs can provide additional evidence into this.

Next, check all of your email settings in the clients, to ensure nothing has changed. I have seen Outlook drop settings in the past.

We are happy to investigate further but will need some additional information, since there have not been reports from other users in the shared environment. What version of MS Outlook are you using?

What type of devices are you connecting from? Are they using IMAP, or POP?

What email settings are you using? For example "SSL" settings, or "non-SSL" settings.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.

Thank you,

John-Paul
