SMTP in Outlook 2016

I recently migrated to Outlook 2016 for my mail client. I cannot get SMTP to work. Test email message says Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) email server. I have tried every possible configuration of SSL and non-SSL addresses, ports (465, 587, 25), with no success. I can connect to incoming server just fine.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us about an SMTP issue with Outlook 2016. Since Webmail also uses SMTP connections, try sending a message from Webmail as a test.

You can also try to Telnet to the mail server to test if ports are open.

Since it seems you already tried changing your ports/email settings as described in our "Problems Sending Mail - Receiving is Fine" guide, I recommend checking the mail logs for additional errors, or record of your transmissions.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.

Thank you,

John-Paul
