I uploaded files to my remote site and new page is older than current

I am using File Zilla and I see files uploaded in the remote site: /dana and also in /.
I can not find public.html. The new page is from 2014, not from late 2015 which I was trying to update.
Is finding the correct remote site the problem?
Also, the source file should override the target file, not the other way around. Meaning the target file is the new webfile/page. Correct?
I am also not sure what d***** is for?

Hello Dana, Sorry to hear you are having issues with your FTP uploads. If you have set up your FTP to simply enter at the domain level, that would be the public_html folder for your primary domain name. I looked at your public_html folder and can see files with both 2014 and 2015 dates. I also looked up one level to your home directory and can also see files with 2014 and 2015 dates. I think it is simply a navigation issue in the FTP program. You can travel all the way up to your home directory if you are using the cPanel username as your FTP account. I do see you have another one that is set to public_html. This one will not be able to see above that folder to the home directory. Normally (by default) you are correct in that the uploaded file should replace the existing one, though this can be regardless of file age. Be sure to check your settings when uploading to see that is the behavior you have selected. Kindest Regards, Scott M
