Location of OpenSSL directory

I'm trying to install a new SSL certificate via Let's Encrypt and I'm not sure where the OpenSSL directory is when accessing via SSH. Step 2 in the instructions I'm using at GetHTTPSforfree.com list the directory as /etc/ssl/openssl.cnf which does not exist. I dug around and noticed there is an SSL directory along with a csrs directory but was unsure where I would find the openssl.cnf file to run this command:

openssl req -new -sha256 -key domain.key -subj "/" \
-reqexts SAN -config <(cat /etc/ssl/openssl.cnf \
<(printf "[SAN]\nsubjectAltName=DNS:foo.com,DNS:www.foo.com"))

The more straight answer would be that they haven't figured out how much they would/could charge to install a free certificate. + there is a decrease in sales for certificates to take into account

Hello, Thank you for your question on OpenSSL directory location. The area where SSL information is contained is not available to shared server accounts. Currently, we do not support Let's Encrypt on our servers. SSL certificates must be installed by our System Administration team on shared servers due to access and security. Please see our documentation on SSLs for more information. Kindest Regards, Scott M
