Issues with W3TC and Super Cache in Wordpress

Still working on getting my page speed up with GTMetrix.com and getting gigged on the Defer parsing of JScript and others...but trying to fix one at a time. If I activate W3TC Cache, that fixes the defer issue, but then my layer sliders wont play/show the images on my pages. If I deactivate W3TC and activate Super Cache, the Layer Sliders work again but then I get gigged on the defer parsing again. So do you know of (1) if I activate W3TC how to get my layer sliders to work... or (2) if activate Super Cache if there is a configure somewhere to get defer parsing to work in that one ?

W3TC also fixes a couple other issues in GTMetrix so I would prefer to get that running BUT keep my Layer Sliders showing too. I have lots of those on my webpages and the main way people see my images.

Hello PaulAlford, Thank you for contacting us about deferring javascript parsing with W3 Total Cache / WP Super Cache and its affect on your slider. Often, the real solution is reviewing the javascript that is loading and moving it to the bottom of your page, or in the footer for example. This will defer it, by causing it to load last(or later) since it goes from top down. The author of WP Super cache (when asked about deferring javascript parsing), suggested this very method. If you click the "Defer parsing of JavaScript" in GTMEtrix, it will list the javascripts that are loading, many of them look social media related. You should be able to troubleshoot your slider in W3Total Cache by turning on debugging in WordPress. With debugging turned on, it is much easier to locate any errors within your WordPress site as well as any plugins and themes that may be causing errors.
