Email on Mac OS not working correctly

I recently set up my new email for my new domain on my Mac desktop. It now can send and receive emails, but the "sent" mailbox is empty...as is all the other mailboxes like "junk" "trash" . Also, I can not delete emails. The error is "An error occurred while moving mail to mailbox "null"". What does that mean?? Is this related to the "unplanned maintenance" on servers...on which my website sits?

Hello, Sorry to hear that you're having problems with your Mac Mail client. The issues you have presented appear to be related to the configuration issues for IMAP. In regards to the first issue, you will probably need to subscribe the SENT folder if you have not done so already. Check out this tutorial for further details and instructions. In regards to the deletion issues. It appears that your trash mail box may not be assigned correctly. Try this: Select the Trash mailbox (folder) and then the menu item: Mailbox - Use This Mailbox As - Trash Mailbox I hope this helps to answer your questions on the Mac Mail issues.
