The xmlrpc.php on my wordpress installation is not accessible (403)

I have WP installed in an add-on domain, and I can't use jetpack because it can not connect to wordpress.com - error 403, the file xmlrpc.php is not accessible. I've contacted jetpack support and they insist that I ask if my host blocks the file.
I'm not sure about that because in my main domain I'm running another WP installation and it works.
Any ideas how to fix it, or at least how to investigate what is blocking the xmlrpc.php on the add-on domain?

Hello Mfigrs, We do block this file due to wordpress common hacks and most plugins do not use this feature. You can have the block removed by contacting our support department. Best Regards, TJ Edens
