I used the .htaccess URL rewrite redirects doesnt work?

I used .htaccess URL rewrite redirects to redirect my site for mobile users, I called support and support added the redirect to the htaccess file, ive been waiting and it has been 12 hours, it still doesnt work, my mobile site was made with wordpress and the new url is a "mobile.url" which i made through subdomains... cpanel/wordpress whats going on, how do i make this work?
