Random error 500 - Internal Server Error

Over the past few months, my website has been going down periodically due to Error 500 - Internal Server Error. I don't recall meddling with my cPanel or other unusual plugins that may lead to problems with permissions, .htaccess file etc.

It may be useful to note that I had been inactive (i.e. did not login to my workspace) for a couple of weeks before I was notified that my website has been going down due to the error.

Any idea how I can resolve this? I'll be really thankful ;)

Hello, Sorry for the problem with your random 500 errors. The issue is that your WordPress site may have some extensions or functions that are calling modules that requires PHP 5.4. It would be nice if code would be written that is never affected by updates. Unfortunately, that is not the case. We recommend updating the PHP version to fix the 500 error that you're seeing with your WordPress site. I have gone ahead and changed the version to 5.4 for you. If you need further details please click on the link above. If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know. Regards, Arnel C.
