How do I setup a cron for OpenCart?

I have set cron command like php -f //var/www/genie/data/www/beri-dari.com/gift_reminder.php
in my opencart cpanel but its not working.
What does "Do not send report by e-mail" this checkbox means? Should I select it or not

Hello, Sorry to hear you're having problems with your cron job. It looks like your path is in error. You may need to review it to make sure it's correct. The "Do not send report by email" is literal - it means you won't get a report of the cron job running through email. It's up to you to get it or not. In some cases people don't want a report through email because the cron job may run hundreds of times (meaning hundreds of email notices).
