Website Loading Slower than at other host. How to optimize

HI I am a new customer with inmotion. I just switched my host from I page. The switch just got completed last night! I was so excited this morning when I woke up and I could see how the speed improved with inmotion. However, my site is now taking 1 to 3 sec longer to load. This is very dishearting as I am paying 3x more for my inmotion pro plan that I was at my old host.

Before I switched I was told that Support would help me optimize my site, and sql databases, but I am having trouble getting anyone to keep that promise.

What can I do to optimize my site and sql databases? for www.abackpackerstale.com

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that you site appears to be loading slower than your previous host. We can help you optimize by review it and giving you a few recommendations. I ran a third party analysis of your site (using gtmetrix.com). It gives you a list of several things to help your site speedup. If you run the analysis from their website, you'll see the list that they suggest. I highly recommend that you review it. Also, please review our tutorial on Optimizing W3 Total Cache. It appears you're using it. When I look at your website on my Chrome browser, the thing that stands out in loading your page is the graphics. You may want to look either reducing the overall number of graphics that you use, or in finding a better optimization method for them (I suggest using progressive JPEGs). Even with my browser caching, when I can click away from your site then go back to it, I can see the graphics taking time to load. I believe that going through the cache optimization and image optimization would go a long way in helping to speed up the site. Also, if you can use a CDN(content delivery network), then international viewers will have a much better experience in seeing your images load, than coming from a specific hosting server. I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance. Regards, Arnel C.
