Wordpress crunching when loading a mp3 file

I have been able to load mp3 files to my wordpress site for 2 years and all of a sudden when I try to load a mp3 file it goes from 100% to crunching. What does this mean and how do I fix it.

Hello, Sorry to hear about your WordPress crunching issue. Crunching is WordPress terminology for processing. What are the exact steps you are performing? How large is the file exactly? Have you made any recent updates to the core or plugins? Have you tried disabling all the plugins and tested it again? Do you know what your php memory limit is?
