Joomla 3.x update administrator dashboard error

After updating from 3.5 to 3.3.6, there's an SQL error on the dashboard page as follows:

Unknown column '' in 'order clause' SQL=SELECT * FROM `fq8s7_postinstall_messages` WHERE `extension_id` = '700' AND `enabled` = '1' ORDER BY `` ASC

Has this issue occurred previously? It breaks the rest of the page load. I can't seem to find much info on it. Thanks for any assistance.

Hello, I am assuming you mean you upgraded from Joomla 2.5 to 3.3.6, is that correct? If so, what was the exact version of your Joomla 2.5? If it was not 2.5.27 you will first need to update to that. You also need to ensure that every single extension, theme, addon, etc is compatible with the new 3.3.6. If not, this can cause issues after the upgrade. You will want to follow a step by step guide such as this one to assist you in the process. It is not a simple one-step process to upgrade as this is a major version change. You will also likely want to revert back to your site's backup that you made prior to your upgrade. This will ensure you are moving from a working site. Kindest Regards, Scott M
