Archive reading trouble with imap and macmail 11.2

I saw this article, https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/email/email-troubleshooting/imap-archiving , but am having trouble setting up my macmail to read an archive. I click subscription list, but no folders show up to subscribe to even though I know they are there.

Hello, sorry to hear you're having issues accessing your archived mail. Are you able to view your e-mail account's archived folders when you login to webmail directly on the server? The archived IMAP folders that are created on the server are created as hidden folders, but any IMAP client should be able to see that they are there and subscribe to them. Are you able to see the server-side Deleted Messages, Drafts, or Sent folders from within your MacMail client? These folders are setup the same as the Archive ones.
