I have installed the FrontPage Sever Extensions on my site but when I try to open it with VWD I get an error message that it did not send a "WWW-Authenticate header"

Hello grcurtus27, and thanks for the question. It looks like the did not send WWW-Authenticate header error could possibly be caused by not running Visual Web Developer as the administrator user on your computer. There is also a mention of making sure you have the Microsoft Visual Studio Web Authoring Component installed on the computer you're attempting to publish from. If you access the file /_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.exe on your website in your web-browser you should get a FrontPage authentication pop-up. Make sure that you can get past this password prompt using the same username and password credentials you're using in Visual Web Developer. Please let us know if you continue to have issues, you might want to also try a FTP deployment of your site as FrontPage Extensions are prone to lots of problems since they haven't been regularly updated by Microsoft for many years now. - Jacob
