Changing Email Display Name

When people receive emails from my [email protected] email address, my name is being associated with the display name of the email address. For example, when someone receive an email from [email protected], it displays in their inbox something like John Smith . I don't want my name associated with the email account. How can I change this?

Hello, Thanks for the question. The display name is typically controlled in the email client that you are using. If you don't want to use the display name you have specified, then you will need to go into the email program you are using and change the display name. This is not a setting that setup in another location on the server. It may differ from program to program. For example, if you are using RoundCube (through webmail) then the display name option is saved in the IDENTITIES portion of the program. In contrast, if you use SquirrelMail, the option will be in the OPTIONS section and called FULL NAME. We also have a general article which states this issue: Configuration Options and Editing your Email Profile. I hope this helps to clarify the issue for you! Please let us know if you have any further questions or comments. Regards, Arnel C.
