I just asked a question:

... I'm not satisfied with the answer. I can't comment anonymously, so I'll post another question.

The only suggestion was "Pingdom", followed by a "but it's not good, blah blah blah".

If you're ,"unaware of an reliable services", then why don't you ask around to some of the other techs at your office and at least offer my some free services that I can at least check out myself and determine if they're reliable? I feel like your lack of effort here is the same lack of effort I get when I submit an email to support... not thrilled at all JeffMa.

Can you do that for me? Give me some options, take 5 minutes and ask someone else if they have suggestions.

Hello, Apologies if you're not satisfied with the answer. We DID search through some major search engines like Google, and we didn't see any that were free. You're welcome to search yourself and see if you find anything better. We are not familiar with free up-time monitoring services so we have no recommendations for any particular one. You are welcome to look others who have reviewed them. Check out this link for a site that did a review on several of them: Review of Server Uptime Monitoring services The main issue with these services is that they're not usually located where you are located which means that they would have a different set of routing going to the servers in question. If something happens in their routing, it's easy to get a false positive that the server is down, when it may not be. This is typically the issue that hosting services have with monitoring services. Another issue may be that an internet service provider has a temporary problem. If the monitoring service can't connect during that period of interruption, then it again would generate a false positive showing that server is down when it is not. I hope this explains some of our hesitation in giving you an answer on monitoring services. We unfortunately don't have a solid recommendation on this topic at this time Our core business is providing hosting services and answering questions in relation to providing those services. If you have any further questions in regards to our hosting services, we would happy provide assistance. Kindest regards, Arnel C.

Just wanted to comment on your problem with the rep "JeffMa" and or "John Ma". He either uses the two names interchangeably or they are two related reps. Whatever the case may be, I would encourage you to take the problem to management, through email or phone, until you find someone there who is willing to help you with this guy. There are some good reps there who have helped me despite this jerk's attitude. But the bigger problem is the fact that this is supposed to be a quality company and they actually employ reps like this in the first place...most of the other reps here are really good, but this guy has actually been AGGRESSIVELY INSULTING in my experience, which is obviously not remotely acceptable.
