Are you editing this file directly on the server using the File Manager Code Editor? Or uploading it to the server via FTP? Or are you logging into a CMS Content Management System in order to make changes to your site?
If it's taking 5-10 minutes for your changes to reflect, then it sounds like possibly some type of caching is happening. At the most basic level you'd want to first try to clear your web-browser's cache. If that doesn't do the trick then depending on your CMS you'd want to:
